New Year, New Beginnings

I feel like I'm always saying it - but wow time flies! A few exciting things have popped up over the last two months and I'm in full Honeymoon prep mode! Very excited!

The biggest news in the diabetes corner of my world is that I have officially signed up to do the big switch! The date is set - after twenty years of injections I am booked in to get HOOKED UP April 14th. (I wanted to be wireless and not stressing about new stuff on my honeymoon, hence the two month wait). Medtronic MiniMed 640G here I come!!!

Second to that, I have teamed up with a lovely local mother of a newly diagnosed type 1 young lady to organise the 2015 JDRF Walk in our area. So if any one would like to impart some hot tips I am all ears!

In other news, our wedding was featured on the Queensland Brides Magazine website. Just between you and I, I'm pretty chuffed! You can check it out here: Real Wedding: Jessica and Michael

So I'm hoping to share many new adventures with you this year!

Two weeks till Thailand and Singapore. Cocktails, beaches, trekking, kayaking, and some city lights.

  1. How is the new pump going for you? I changed to a pump in August last year after 22 years of needles/pens, and I love it! Hope it's all going well for you :-)

    1. Hi Cara, thanks for stopping by my blog :) Its nice to meet a fellow pumper that has started after so long on needles too. How are you finding it? Its only been about a month so far for me and its been quite a bumpy ride - some good days, a whole bunch of dodgy days but I'm hoping things start to work out soon!
